What are we about?

CU: "Giving every student an opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, whilst equipping and uniting students to live and speak for Jesus".

Gospel: Confident in understanding, celebrating and defending the truth of the Gospel revealed in the Bible: the good news of what God has done in Jesus Christ to save us.

Evangelism: Practically equipping students to live and speak for Jesus in their own context as well as putting on events to give every student an opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel.

Unity: Gathering and uniting Christians students from all backgrounds around essential truths of the Gospel presented in the UCCF Doctrinal Basis (see Our View).

Church: Committed to helping students find and connect in to local churches as the primary and life-long place of Christian ministry and discipleship.

Grace: Rejoicing in our salvation by grace alone, serving one another and loving the lost. We're not fear-driven or guilt-driven, but motivated by the grace of God.

International: Regularly pray for overseas Christians and work with international students. We want to see international students fully integrated, reflecting God's global vision for his people.

Prayer: We rely on God in prayer for everything. The New Testament believers prayed for boldness and we need to pray just as much!

Where do we meet?

Main meetings: Mondays at 6:45pm-8:00pm in room W1.10 of Eldon Building, to worship and pray together, hear the Gospel and be equipped to live Spirit-filled lives at university. Come and join our prayer meeting beforehand from 6.15pm in the foyer of Eldon Building.

Quench: Once a month at 11:00pm-1:00am at Guildhall Walk (10:30pm at the Students Union to pray before hand) to serve free doughnuts and water and talk about Jesus.

Text-a-Toastie: Once a month at 7:00pm-9:00pm to encourage every student across the campus to ask questions about God or Christianity in exchange for a free toastie (and the filling is at their choice).

Carol Service: Before the end of the first term at King's Church to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ by singing carols and listening to a short talk about Christmas and its meaning.

Mission's Week: In February at Student Union Bar to explore profound topics and give students the chance to look more into Christianity, listen to music, and eat great free food and cakes throughout a whole week.

However, every location where we gather might be subject to change depending on Students' Union guidelines, any changes will be posted on our private Facebook page which can be found here ->
