Welcome to the University of Portsmouth Japanese society!

Our aim is to bridge the cultural gap between Japan and the UK by having weekly meetings where we chat about living in Japan compared to UK and play local Japanese Games, sometimes even having competitions. On occasions after the meetings we will have a a drink or meal at a local pub, to get to know each other and just have fun playing a lot of games, socialising and bonding together.

Every Friday we do have a house party/clubbing night to meet together. This is just embracing being a student and having fun to celebrate the hard work we do at uni during the week. So don’t be afraid to join if you don’t know anyone, you will get to make friends quickly.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page or contact the committee through the group email account for further details on when and where we meet: japanese@upsu.net.

You don’t have to be Japanese to join, you just need to be ready to meet new people and make new friends!

We look forward to meeting you!
