Welcome to the Journaling Society!
Do you like stationery? Do you like being crafty? Maybe you want to be more organised? If the answer to any of those questions is a 'yes', then the Journaling Society is for you!
Journaling is the practice of keeping a diary or journal that explores thoughts and feelings surrounding events in your life. However, it's not limited to a plain old diary! Our society will show you fun and creative ways to journal. Research has also shown that journaling is a useful contributor in reducing symptoms of mental health issues, such as depression & anxiety.
This is the first Journaling Society that the Union has had. We aim to create a fun and engaging environment for like-minded students. We will be learning from each other about how to journal, plan, scrapbook & more!
Activities will cover creating: themed spreads, writing prompts, printables, scrapbook pages, design writing papers, bookmarks & more. Resources & materials are provided for by the committee and we do our best to make all sessions as fun as possible and as a way to relax and deviate from the academic side of university!
As a member of the society, you will get the benefits of socialising with everyone outside our activities! Look out for these on our Facebook page and Instagram, you will be informed by e-mail, too. Social events include: Meals, Purple Wednesday's, Pottery Workshops & more.
Resources & Materials:
As we are a free to join society and we provide the resources and materials, we need a bit of help from our members to be able to fund for these. Once you have joined, if you could please ensure that you purchase 'Journaling Group Resources and Materials' on the additional payments this will cover all costs for you, for the rest of the year!
