Welcome to the University of Portsmouth Music Society!
Welcome to the Music Society page! We are one of the largest and oldest society's in the union having existed in some form for about 40 years. Members of this society have a passion for watching, making and performing music. We aim to cater to everyone from classical to jazz to modern music with our ensembles and the newly adopted Musicians Network. This group can take you on a truly international stage with our bi-annual tours to Europe which have recently included Spain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Slovenia, even making an appearance on Spanish TV!
Outside of music making we run socials for our members giving everyone a chance to take a break from work and playing. The highlights of these include our Winter and Summer balls, as well as Laser Quest and the Friday night Karaoke.
Keep up with us on all major social media platforms with the handle @UoPMusicSociety
