Water Polo Society
Who We Are
We are a small team that train for fun rather than competitively. We are returning to Portsmouth after a years break, hoping to come back in full force with some friendly matches happening throughout the year! We welcome everyone, from people with no experience in this sport, to those who have played competitively.
What is Waterpolo?
Water polo is a team water sport. The game consists of 4 quarters in which the two teams attempt to score goals by throwing the ball into their opponent’s goal, with the team with the most goals at the end of the game winning the match. A team consists of 6 field players and one goalkeeper in the water at any one time.
We train on Thursday evenings at 8pm at St Edmund's School pool. Make sure you keep an eye on our Facebook group for regular updates!
If you want more information about what we do and how the game works, then feel free to contact us and we will get back to you ASAP.
We hope to see you at training and our taster sessions (Which are free!)
